About Bohinjsko Jezero / Pri Kramarju, Slovenia
Bohinjsko Jezero is stunning but essentially unrideable. One windy day per year means you're here for the scenery, not the sessions.

Launch notes
Flat water launch is straightforward, but NE winds are infrequent and marginal. Light wind makes ground launch difficult; consider assisted launching or waiting for stronger thermal conditions.
Gear & clothing
Gear · Bring a large quiver starting with 17m+ kites to generate power in light winds, or skip this spot entirely. Directional boards work best in flat water, though marginal wind makes progression difficult.
Clothing · 3/2mm wetsuits for March-April alpine water (5-10°C); consider 4/3mm if extending into early season. Water temperature is the primary concern over air temperature.
Crowd & etiquette
Alpine lakes are shared recreation spaces with swimmers and other water users; stay aware of designated zones and launch during low-traffic periods.
Additional notes
This spot is not recommended for serious kitesurfing due to minimal windy days annually and chronically light conditions. Visit during peak months (Mar-Apr) when thermal NE winds may develop in early afternoons.
