Launch notes
The flat water and likely sandy beach make for easy launches. ENE and E winds are most reliable; launch perpendicular to these dominant wind directions for optimal conditions.
Gear & clothing
Gear · Bring a 15-17m kite for the light average winds; consider a 12m backup for stronger days. A freestyle or all-around board works well in flat water, though a larger volume board helps in marginal wind.
Clothing · A light 3/2mm wetsuit is sufficient during warm months (April, November); tropical Caribbean waters stay warm year-round so heavy protection isn't needed.
Crowd & etiquette
Respect other water users and follow local club guidelines at Club Karey. Stay aware of reef locations and communicate launch/landing intentions with other riders.
Additional notes
Plan visits during April or November for the most consistent winds. Check tide and current conditions before sessions, as flat water can mask strong offshore flows near reefs.
