Launch notes
The flat water and sandy beach make this ideal for beginners, but expect soft sand that can slow launching. ENE and E winds are most consistent; launch facing into the prevailing wind direction and use the shallow water zone carefully.
Gear & clothing
Gear · Bring a 15-17m kite to handle the light average winds (9.5 kts); consider larger sizes for lighter days. A directional board or small wave board works well in flat conditions; twin-tip boards are also suitable.
Clothing · Water temperature is warm year-round (28-30°C), so a thin rash guard or no wetsuit is sufficient. UV protection and a hat are more important than thermal insulation.
Crowd & etiquette
Keep clear of fishing boats and local activity; this is a working beach with significant local presence. Respect fishing nets and equipment you encounter in the water.
Additional notes
February is peak season with the most consistent winds—book accommodation in advance. The spot is best suited for progression sessions rather than high-wind days; check local conditions before committing to a trip.
